Our Beliefs |

 |
What we teach and believe
- All people are sinful and in need of a Savior (Romans 3:23)
- God has given us his Law (the Ten Commandments) to show us our sin and our need for a Savior (Romans 3:19-20)
- God has sent his Son Jesus Christ into this world to save us by his perfect life and innocent sufferings and death on the cross (II Corinthians 5:21; John 3:16)
- Through faith in Christ as our Savior, we receive the benefit of what Christ has done. (Ephesians 2:8,9)
- This faith that we have is a gift given by the Holy Spirit. We did not come to it or discover it or decided to believe it on our own. (I Corinthians 12:3)
- The Holy Spirit brings us to faith through the preaching of the gospel, the good news that tells us Jesus is our Savior. (Romans 10:9-14)
- The Holy Spirit uses the Bible (I Peter 1:23), Baptism (I Peter3:21), and the Lord's Supper (Matthew 26:26-28; I Corinthians 10:16-17) to create, sustain and strengthen faith in our Savior Jesus Christ.
- As people called by God and saved by Jesus Christ, we are to give him glory in all that we do (Romans 12:1). We do this by building each other up in love (Hebrews 10:25) and proclaiming the gospel to the world around us (Matthew 28:18-20).
